Whispers to the Divine ✨

“I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me.” — Hadith Qudsi

In this episode of Whispers to the Divine, Dr. Imam Sherif Ahmed reflects on a profound Ḥadīth Qudsi:

📜 The Hadith

English:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Allah, the Exalted, says:
“I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim — Hadith Qudsi)

This Hadith reminds us that duʿāʾ is more than words. It is the trust, hope, and sincerity in our hearts when we turn to Allah. Every whispered supplication, every moment of remembrance, draws us nearer to Him, illuminating our hearts with mercy, presence, and closeness.

It teaches us that Allah is attentive to our intentions, that He is present in our thoughts, and that remembrance is not just ritual—it is a living, dynamic connection with the Creator. Whether we whisper a request for guidance, seek forgiveness, or express gratitude, Allah is with us, attentive and compassionate.

📿 When the tongue is moistened with duʿāʾ, the heart is softened, illuminated, and aligned with the mercy of Allah. Each moment of sincere remembrance is an invitation to trust, hope, and nearness, even in the ordinary moments of daily life.

Our Whispers to the Divine series will pause for Ramadan 🌙, in preparation for a daily Ramadan reflection series, in shā’ Allāh.
